10 injured in Sunamganj clash

At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over a trifling matter at Mallikpur village in Jamalganj upazila on Friday afternoon.
Atiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Jamalganj Police Station, said an altercation ensued between two groups of villagers-one led by Etraj and another by Shamsu Miah-over moving up ducks in Arakandi beel (water body) at about 4:00pm.
At one stage, the two groups, equipped with lethal weapons, attacked each other, leaving 10 people injured. Being informed, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
The injured were admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital and local health complex.
