6 held with 1.3 kg gold at HSIA

BSS, Dhaka :
Six persons were arrested along with over 1.3 kilograms of gold worth about Taka 53 lakh from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here last night.
“We arrested the six from terminal-2 area of the airport around 10.30 pm and seized three gold bars and ornaments weighing 1.361 kilograms (kgs) from their moneybag and book pockets,” senior assistant
superintendent of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Alamgir Hossain told BSS.
The arrestees-Hamidul Islam, Haider Sharif, Nadim Khandoker, Shah Alam Majumder, Ishak Mia and Deepak Mandal-landed at the airport by three separate Kuala Lumpur flights of Malaysia Airlines (MH-196), Tiger Airlines (TR-2656) and Singapore Airlines (SQ-446).
Separate cases were lodged in this regard.
