A complaint was filed before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court(CMM) of Chittagong against the Senior Nayeb of Hefazat Islam and Presidentof one part of Islami Oikya Jote Mufti Ezharul Islam for declining submission of wealth statement to Anti- corruption Commission despite issuing notices.
Deputy Director of ACC , Chittagong divisional chapter HM Akhaturuzzaman filed this complaint yesterday morning to the CMM court.
ACC sources said Mufti Ezhar was asked to submit wealth statement on October 2013 following the information about his huge wealth beyond his legitimate income but he did not receive the notice several times, as such the said notice was hanged infront of his residence, sources said.
In this connection ACC instantly filed a suit before the Kulshi thana in January last under section 26(2)of 2004 Act of Anti corruption law.
