Court Correspondent :A Dhaka court on Wednesday rejected bail petitions of BNP Joint Secretary General Aman Ullah Aman and the party’s Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in a case filed in connection with the killing of a Chhatra Shibir leader.Magistrate Harun-or-Rashid of Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court passed the order on Wednesday after the hearing on bail pleas and sent the BNP leaders back to jail. On April 20, the accused surrendered to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court and prayed for bail. But the court sent them to jail.The Magistrate however, granted the bail to Mirza Abbas in the same case.On December 29 last year, Dakkhin Khan Police Station unit Shibir President Mansur Prodhania was killed in city’s Malibagh area during March for Democracy programme called by the then 18-party alliance.Later, Rampura Police Station SI Al Mamun filed a case with Ramna Thana in this connection.
