Chinese firm to invest $10.73m in Bepza economic zone

Join Win (Bangladesh) Company Ltd, a Chinese factory, plans to invest $10.73 million to set up a shoe accessories manufacturing industry in Bepza Economic Zone.
The company will set up a ‘fully modern automated factory’ to annually produce seven million pairs of different shoe accessory items, such as polyurethane (PU) insole, PU midsole, PU outsole and rubber outsole insole.

The items will be produced for different global brands, including Nike, Adidas, Puma and Caterpillar, according to the officials of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA). The factory will create employment opportunities for 900 Bangladeshi nationals, according to Bepza.
