CM Md Abu Hanif moved top of the points table with four and a half points after the fourth round games of the Manha’s Castle FIDE Rating Chess tournament was held on Saturday at R H Home Center Green Road in the city.
Eight players are sharing the second position with four points.
They are FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, CM Sohel Chowdhury, CM Md. Masum Hossain, CM Shariatullah, Diya Chowdhury of India, Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, Jabed Al Azad and Md Hasan Imam.
In the fifth round games, Hanif beat Hasan Imam, Diya beat Hasan, FM Mahfuz beat Bappi, CM Masum beat Rezaul, CM Shariat beat Gias Uddin, CM Sohel beat Shamsul Kabir Chowdhury and Mostafa split point with Jabed.
