The rail communication of Dhaka with Sylhet and Chattogram has been suspended after a Dhaka-bound freight train derailed off track in Brahmanbaria Railway Station area on Sunday.
According to media reports, the communications came to a halt when four wheels of the freight train derailed in the area at 9:00 am. The railway authorities said they are trying to normalise rail traffic till the filling of this report.
Md Jasim Uddin, station master of Brahmanbaria Railway Station, said that four wheels of a container of the freight train 607 derailed when it was heading towards Dhaka from the station around 8:30 am.
