Health Minister Mohammad Nasim on Tuesday said that there can be nothing to gain from terming the present government illegal.
“The people of the country cast their votes amid anarchy carried out by BNP-Jammat alliance with a view to thwarting the vote. But polls were held due to the firmness of Sheikh Hasina. No-one was able to resist the polls. The people of the country
accepted the polls and the whole world termed it a legal one,” he said.
Nasim, also the presidium member of ruling Awami League, said this while addressing an extended meeting of Awami League city unit at its office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.
