The Election Commission (EC) has ordered the removal of the posters-billboards and other campaign materials that have been put up in advance of the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections.
Pabna-4 Constituency Assistant Returning Officer and Ishwardi Upazila Executive Officer Subir Kumar Das has asked the local governments to implement this directive. It can be seen on Sunday, that the municipal authorities in Ishwardi city are working to remove the posters, banners, wall writings, billboards and other campaign materials of potential candidates in different areas.
Assistant Returning Officer and UNO Executive Officer of Ishwardi Subir Kumar Das said, according to the instructions of the Election Commission, all the potential candidates of the political parties were asked to remove any banners, posters, festoons, billboards containing the campaigns at their own expense.
