Fake NID cards case to be probed by JS body

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Administration Ministry on Sunday formed a two-member sub-committee to enquire allegations surrounding the making of some 50,000 National Identity (NID)
cards at different times by some quarters. Police arrested two people along with 53,100 fake National Identity (NID) cards from East Dholaipar under Kadamtali thana in the city on Saturday. The arrestees were identified as Aminul Islam, 23, and Toufiq Islam, 25.
Member of the Committee RAM Obaidul Moktadir Chowdhury will be the convenor, while M Abdur Rahman has been selected as the member.
