The three-member investigation body formed to look into torture of two BCL men at Shahbagh Police Station allegedly by ADC Harun-or-Rashid and other law enforcers, has been delayed again as the deadline for submission of the report has been extended for the third time on Sunday.
The probe committee was supposed to submit its report on Sunday to the DMP Commissioner Khandaker Golam Faruque, but the committee sought seven more days to submit the report.
The DMP chief extended the deadline of the report submission for three more working days, said DMP commissioner’s special assistant Syed Mamun Mostafa.
Earlier, the DMP authorities formed the three-member probe committee, headed by the deputy commissioner for operations, to investigate the torturing incident of two leaders of the ruling Awami League-backed student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League at Shahbagh police station on September 9.
