‘Kaal Ratri’ drama of Chamok Tara on the stage tomorrow

Entertainment Report :
Tomorrow, September 13 at 7:00pm in the Experimental Theater Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital, the drama titled ‘Kaal Ratri’ starring actress Chamok Tara will be staged.

The play will be staged on the occasion of death anniversary of the founding member of Padatik Natya Sangsad and founding organising secretary of Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation, Abu Mohammad Murtaish Kochi.

Dr Tanvir Ahmed Sidney has given the dramatisation of the play.

The drama was directed by Wahidul Islam and its direction advisor is Syed Ishtiaq Hossain Tito. Chamak Tara played a central role in the story of the play.

While talking about acting in the play, actress Chamok Tara told this correspondent, “Before this, I acted in the staging of the play ‘Kaal Ratri’. I will do tomorrow if everything goes well.

This year’s staging of the play is mainly to pay tribute to the founder member of our Padatik Natya Sangsad, Kochi Bhai, on his death anniversary.

His contribution to the establishment of this team was remembered with respect. Remembering him tomorrow, the drama ‘Kaal Ratri’ is paying tribute to him on his death anniversary.

We certainly pray that wherever he is, Allah has surely kept him well.

And my humble request to everyone to watch today’s show.

A special request to watch the stage play is because of this.

There is a distinct love of watching artistes perform live on stage.

Those who have never seen a stage play will never understand this.

But this time those who enjoyed the stage play tried to watch it consistently.

Be it someone’s first experience of watching a stage play with ‘Kaal Ratri’.

Stage or theatre purifies people, humanizes them.

Theatre always lives in the midst of youth. Let’s sharpen that spirit through theatre workshops and through group theatre practice we step into the arena of creativity development.”

Meanwhile Chamok Tara is working regularly in dramas and movies.

Directed by RM Rubel Mahmud and starring Chamok Tara, the movie ‘Nao’ was scheduled to release soon.

In this movie, Chamok got the chance to act with late Masum Aziz.
