In a thrilling ODI clash against India, Bangladesh’s star pacer Mustafizur Rahman achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the fastest Bangladeshi bowler to claim 150 wickets in the One Day International (ODI) format.
Mustafizur achieved this feat during a crucial penultimate over when he dismissed Indian batsman Shardul Thakur during India’s of 266 runs.
The fast bowler reached the coveted 150-wicket mark in ODIs in just 91 matches, surpassing the previous record held by former left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak. Abdur Razzak had achieved this milestone in his 108th ODI back in 2004.
The record for the fastest 150 ODI wickets remained to Australia’s Mitchell Starc as the Aussie quick reached the feat in just 77 matches.
The left-arm pacer ended with match figures of three for 50 in eight overs and now has a total of 151 ODI wickets.
