Shimanto Ahmed has been acting in movies for about eight years.
In 2015, he first acted in a movie titled ‘Bhalobasa Jindabad’ directed by Debashish Biswas. After that he acted in more than 40 movies one by one.
As a character actor, he got the love of the audience by playing important roles in various movies. Shimanto has become essential in some roles in movies.
Because of that, his engagement in acting increased.
Not only in movies, Shimanto is working equally in TV dramas and web series.
Among the heroines of Bangladesh, Shimanto has worked the most till now with the popular heroine of this generation, Shobnom Yesmin Bubly.
But he also acted with Apu Biswas (only one movie, title: Prem Preeti Bondhon).
Shimanto acted in six movies with Bubly. He first acted with Bubly in the movie ‘Shooter’, directed by Raju Chowdhury.
Later, he acted with Bubly in Malek Afsari’s movie ‘Password’, Kazi Hayat’s ‘Bir’, Md Iqbal’s ‘Revenge’ and ‘Betray’, Topu Khan’s ‘Leader – Ami e Bangladesh’ and Jakir Hossain Razu’s movie ‘Chador’. Several of these movies are awaiting release.
Speaking about acting in movies with Bubly, Shimanto Ahmed told this correspondent, “Bubly is one of the most popular actresses in Bangladesh at the moment.
I enjoyed working with her so much that I can’t really describe it in words.
I have seen very few artistes as dedicated as her. During the shooting of the movie ‘Password’, we had to work for 21 hours.
Even after working for so many hours, I did not see any fatigue in her.
Didn’t see it being boring at all. The biggest thing mentioned is that if she is given a call time at 6:00am in the morning, she reaches the set before that.
I am really impressed by her performance, and personality and above all her dedication to acting.
I thank the directors for giving me the opportunity to work with Bubly Apa in their movies.”
Meanwhile, Shimanto has completed the works of two web series titled ‘Station’, directed by Shafin Ahmed, and ‘Biyog’, directed by Arafat Hossain.
He also acted in the joint production movie titled ‘Badsha-The Don’.
Therefore, Shimanto has also worked in nine joint production movies till date.
