In recent times, several newcomer artistes of Dhallywood are showing hope again. Our correspondent spoke to the four new heroes and heroines among them.
Gazi Abdun Noor
Gazi Abdun Noor of Bagerhat first came to the discussion by acting in Kolkata’s popular mega serial ‘Rani Rasmoni’.
His role of Rajchandra was also popular in Bangladesh.
But this actor’s dream was to get the love of the audience by acting in his own country.
His Dhallywood journey started in 2019 with Nargis Akhtar’s movie ‘Joiboti Konnyar Mon’.
Due to Corona, the movie could not generate much discussion.
His movie ‘Asombhob’ was released on November 3 this year.
Directed by Aruna Biswas, Noor’s performance in this movie was well appreciated.
Gazi Abdun Noor told this correspondent, “The hope was that the movie ‘Asombhob’ will be popular.
There were many opportunities to act in this movie.
But the movie could not reach many viewers due to political unrest. But those who have seen the movie have praised it. An expectation of the audience has been created about me.
I will try to hold it.”
Gazi Abdun Noor has two movies awaiting release.
One is ‘From Bangladesh’ directed by Shahneoaj Cacoly, the other is ‘Shrabon Jostnai’ directed by Abdus Samad Khokon. The shooting of Sarwar Tamiz Uddin’s movie ‘Bhashar Jonnyo Momtaz’ is coming to an end.
Noor said that another movie is also being talked about.
Talking about his future plans, Gazi Abdun Noor said, “Not the same type of character, I want to work in different types of characters. As an actor, I want to take the challenge of all kinds of characters.
And I hope that the movies that will be released in the future, they should be uninterrupted to the audience.”
Sayma Smrity
Sayma Smrity made her debut with Arifur Zaman Arif’s ‘Jontrona’ on November 10. She started her showbiz career as a model, but now Sayma Smrity wants to establish herself in movies.
The actress told this correspondent, “I was waiting to see myself on the big screen from the release date of the movie ‘Jontrona’. The first time I saw the movie, I felt like I was dreaming.
Nervousness was also working in me. How did the audience think about me and how it feels to see me on the big screen? After watching the movie, I have shown good on the screen.
I got great response from the audience.” Sayma Smrity has signed a new movie before the release of ‘Jontrona’.
She said, “I have already signed the movie ‘Haor Konnya’. The shooting of this movie is supposed to start this month.
Therefore, I am talking about a few more works. I will try to survive in the movie with the love of the audience.”
Jannatul Ferdous Ritu
Jannatul Ferdous Ritu appeared in front of the camera for the first time with Raisul Islam Anik’s movie ‘Iti Chitra’. The movie was released in theatres last month.
Ritu was very nervous before the release. That naivety was revealed in the press conference of the movie.
The actress said that she has never spoken in front of so many cameras. However, she did not seem nervous at all on the screen. In this movie of the sweet love story of the 90s, Ritu caught the attention of her fluent acting.
After ‘Iti Chitra’, Ritu still didn’t sign any new movie’s contract. Although she could not inform about the new work, the new actress said that she wants to work regularly in movies.
She told this correspondent, “There was a lot of anxiety before the release of the movie. After the release of the movie, many people said, I did well as the first movie.
I will try to keep the audience like this. I want to work in all media, be it movies or OTT platforms. I want to be close to the audience with the work.”
Rakib Hossain Evon
Rakib Hossain Evon, the hero, started his acting career with the theatre group, ‘Drishtipat’. He made his film debut in 2016, in Ahsan Sarwar’s movie titled ‘Rong Dhong’.
Due to various complications, the movie has not yet seen the light of day. After that he acted in the movie ‘Ekta Na Bola Kotha’.
However, his first performance as a hero was in the movie ‘Iti Chitra’.
Later, this month, his starring movie ‘Megher Kopat’ was released.
He said that he got the response from the audience with both the movies.
He wants to work with the audience in mind.
He said that after the release of these two movies – ‘Iti Chitra’ and ‘Megher Kopat’ this hero is very cautious about new work.
The actor told this correspondent, “I want to be with acting. But now proceed a little cautiously.
When many visitors connect, the responsibility increases.
If I can’t work at this time, then it will be like wasting my own place. I am planning with the audience in mind.”
Meanwhile, the actor said that he has signed two more new movies.
However, he did not want to say anything about this before the official announcement.
Evon said that the shooting of a new movie to start in December.
Besides the big screen, he is also working on OTT platforms. There he is also involved in new work.
